We always called it the "Straight Seat" as in, Dude, there's no room for us and the straight seat there.
It's also infinately MORE homosexual if it's a sparsely populated theater. If there's 5 empty rows around you and you sit next to your bud you look like you and your buddy are out painting the town lavendar.
