I already mentioned this in the old "Ghosts and Paranormal" thread a few years ago, but I figured I'd update.
The
kanashibari (the Japanese word for "choking ghost" hasn't visited me in my sleep for quite some time now. BUT--it seems as though my 16 year old niece has been experiencing it now. Apparently it started when she was 13, which sounds eerily similar to my experience. I can tell she's scared $#!+less.
I have a feeling that this spirit likes to prey on adolescent girls in my house. It *ONLY* happens in my house.
