At my school, I think most houses did the same thing: if you were in a fraternity, you had a pledge dad and then you also had a pledge mom, who was a sorority woman chosen by your pledge dad. Usually it was your pledge dad's girlfriend, but it could also be just a friend or pretty much anyone who your pledge dad chose. One guy in my house had a sister who was in one of the top sororities, so she was a pledge mom to a couple of guys in the house.
