I think that people are surprised about VC and Dr. Rucker just simply because of the fact that more than a few wealthy, high-profile black or multiracial men (err, Eldrick) aren't dating or marrying black women. I still think that much of the furor over interracial relationships is because of the perception/reality that the "better catches" aren't interested in us. I'm not sure we'd be so irked if it was Quantaquavious, Pookie, Man Man or Ray Ray crossing over.

*End hijack.*
Steeltrap, I feel you on that. But I feel that we will be doing some ofour brothers a great injustice if we tassume that they will ALL go that route, when the fact of the matter is that some stay true to their roots...

BTW: I'm LOL at "Quantaquavious"...wow...

Again, I understand exactly where you are coming from (it starts at the college level, unfortunately (I know you know what I'm referring too)...

I understand what you're saying Ideal. But, as I said in my original post (see below) "not that that means anything...yada yada yada". I go to a prestigous, predominantly Caucasian university, and I've had some White Afro-Am Professors before...I also have associates that are white and are Afro-Am majors or minors...So, I do know how it goes...
