The phrase he was referring to is, "If you would call your fraternity a frat, then would you call country a cunt?"

When you say "fratboy", people almost instantly think "Aminal House." That's an image that people just don't want to be associated with anymore. It may have worked in the 70's, but not now. With only 13% of incoming freshman going through fraternity rush in the US (with that number declining each year), people are willing to do whatever it takes to move away from the "Animal House" stereotype.. the term "fratboy" is one of those things people just don't want to be known as anymore.
