I don't think it's a publicity stunt personally. Why? Well first off all, the whole wedding was a big deal in the news...why would they need even MORE publicity? Furthermore, if they did want to give the press the slip so they could secretly get married, we all know SOMEONE, SOMEWHERE would find out and spill the beans.
