Cool It's true

What up all

You all have no idea how much of a relief this is. I'm a member of Sig Ep at the University of Utah, and we've been fighting with the neighbors since I've been a member (I'm starting my fourth year) and well before that. Shaun's one of my closest friends, and he's worked really hard to deal with the problem as IFC President and as Sig Ep chapter president before that. A lot of progress has been made since the mediation 2 years ago. To tell you the truth, the problem wasn't as bad as the neighbors made it out to be. The entire Greek system pays for SLC police officers to patrol Greek Row and the neighborhood, and we've gotten better at obeying noise ordinances and such. My personal opinion was that it was more about money. Greek Row ends on one side of the street, and the neighborhood starts on the other side. They are all massive homes, great properties, that would probably go for several hundred to a million dollars, if they weren't located next to Greek Row. Since they are, the property value of the homes was decreased dramatically.
But, hey, what are you going to do?
I'm just glad it's over.

In Phi,
