That's a complete 180 from my sorority - your New Member Educator IS like your mom, you're supposed to be able to approach her with issues, comments, concerns - and she listens, and helps you out. She's like the one older sister you can always go to if you screwed up, and she's there to look out for you and protect you - not to get you in trouble or be mean to you!

I was thinking the same thing about Val. She has no facial expressions when she talks! I was also disappointed that they skipped the whole rush process and went straight into the new member period. After seeing the preview for the rest of the season, it doesn't look as scandalous as the previous seasons which is both good and bad. It's good that it may not portray members of sororities in a bad light with certain sisters' holier than thou attitudes (like we saw in the SL2), but it's bad because I admit that it's always more interesting when there's drama, and this season looks like it's more toned down that the previous seasons in that sense. But I guess we'll just have to wait and see. Nonetheless, I'll be catching next week's episode to see if gets any better.
