Did anyone catch this on VH-1 last night?

I didn't realize the chick had 2 deals prior to signing with Irv and 'nem.

The only reason I knew about the Noontime deal is because I am in Atlanta and was here when some of those posters were up (not a lot of them, but a few were up). I knew that the hype around her is because she was writing the hooks for all kinds of songs, but I am not a fan. I was however sad when they said that she buried her grandfather on one day and had the teen choice awards on the next day. I remember her just popping up out of nowhere, but I guess she had been around for a while.

I saw it. Is it just me AKA2D who thinks she got Amnesia, cause she sure did forget how to dance. LOL! I read an article in Sister 2 Sister where she stated that she can dance, and that everyone will be surprised one day. She talked about how she would gradually reveal that aspect of her talent overtime. We'll see. I thought the whole show was comical. Personally, I don't think that she has talent. If it weren't for her looks (I must admit, she's looking even better than she was during the first album) and the hotness of Murder Inc. when she first came out, she would be a flop. My right n*t can hold a note better than she can!

Her mother is a hot mess period. She was on a special on MTV that was supposed to focus on Ashanti, but she stole the show. You can tell that she had Ashanti when she was young; she is trying to live vicariously through her child. Did you see her in that flapper outfit she was wearing (with her leg on the chair)?

After seeing the Ashanti Driven, I've come to some conclusions:

-I also didn't know she could dance because she never does, unless you count the stripper dances in the Rock Wit U video.

-Her mother is more than a hot mess, I just haven't got the right words to say.

-She cannot sing live

-She has endured alot in the business and come along way to get where she is and I respect her for that.

I personally don't think she is that talented but I admire her drive after such dissapointment. Yes, I agree that her mother seems a bit special but then it seems that all star moms secretly wish they had their childs fame.

Like many of you, I said the same thing, Ahairy, I mean Ashanti must have lost her talent for dance cuz she d#mn sure don't act like she knows how to.

It was interesting to see the type of struggle she went through and I do hope it keeps her humble.

Her mother is a HOT CHITTY MESS and I think eventually Ashanti will grow weary of her as a 'stage mom'.

The idea that she and Irv Fatty did the horizontal mambo..
