Nope.
Losing a scholarship doesn't equate to being a "worthless piece of shit," and I wouldn't characterize any of my friends of that.
What I was saying is that if I had lost scholarship/financial aid money, I would have been done at Boston U., no second chances coming from the parents.
Working all those hours, and in effect paying for most of my schooling, reminded me how much was at stake and kept me on my studies at times when I really felt like slacking.
