Agreed - my future father-in-law's birthday is today, and he was deeply affected as we all were by the Sept. 11th attacks. I think he feels like he can't celebrate his birthday because of what day it is.
September 11th falls on a Saturday next year, and nearly every hall we looked at was open. While I do think this is a day and an event that should be commemorated this year and in years to come, I hope that we can begin to move forward from it as well.
