A few weeks ago I read a review about the show. It included quotes by the writer/creater, and he said that he wanted that awkwardness between Marissa and Ryan... that he didn't really want the dialogue to go any further than "hey"... "hey" because that's how teens really are... he said that other shows in the past, 90210, Dawson's Creek-- the kids talked so intelligently that it was unrealistic. Just a little tidbit your "hey" comment reminded me of.
