I am out here in Cali for the summer and yesterday I saw the most horrible thing on the news:
A woman had a baby...apparently in a bathroom or something... and left it outside in a Wal-mart bag. Two boys found it by a pizza parlor and thought it was a cat hollering. As it turns out the baby was only an hour...yes...an hour old. The baby was still alive and is now in the hospital waiting to go to a foster home...police still looking for mother. They say at this time that charges will not be pressed. What makes it even worse is that Cali has some law that you can drop a baby off at the hospital no questions asked and filling out no paperwork. So why couldn't this woman just have dropped her baby off instead of leaving it outside in this hot weather. Thank God the baby is still alive.
