Does anyone understand why LSU loses there bonus points for beating Georgia earlier in the year since they play them again in the SEC Championship? So now even if LSU happens to beat Georgia in the Ga Dome it will be harder from them to jump in the BSC to over take USC. All I know is the USC fans will be cheering for the Dawgs on next Saturday. lol
Go Dawgs!
edited to add I saw this on ESPN so the losing bonus points thing must be true.

You weren't supposed to say anything! Ssssssh!
I wish I could take credit for today's win. My LJ Friends know what I'm talking about.
Tim didn't do so great today. It's ok, Jason needed a national audience to shine. I mean, how ya gonna put in your 2nd string QB and beat an SEC school? I mean, yeah...'Bama's got a ishtty season this season, but COME ON.
That being said, I hafta say that the Crimson Tide has some of the best fans to come through the gates of Aloha Stadium. They're the kind where you just can't help but share you beer with them while they're making their rounds at the tailgates.
Hooray for the Warriors, the Crimson Tide, and Heineken beer.

Yup. That really is dumb. I think conferences that don't play for championships should be penalized. You should NOT be able to lose points for playing for a conference championship. That's just dumb -- especially if you win the game. Especially if you've beaten that team before.

*sigh* This is the email the Athletic Association sent me:
The Athletic Association regrets to inform you that you were not selected as a ticket recipient in the SEC Championship Game lottery. Due to tremendous support by Georgia students, there were 9,460 students that entered the lottery for SEC Championship Game tickets. Unfortunately, the Southeastern Conference only designates 1,500 tickets for each team's student body. If the Athletic Association is able to obtain any additional tickets from other SEC schools, UGA students will be given first priority. Thank you for your support of Georgia Athletics.
Damn. However, I heard that UT and UF were also given tickets to the game and that their tickets maybe be given to UGA and LSU students....anyone have any idea?

Yeah, I was just a little bit off, lol.
I was just gonna give OM their day in the light, since they won't be worth a damn for another 40+ years.

YEAH BABY! Southern Cal 52, Oregon St 28!!!

GO UGA, take care of LSU for us!
Go Hawaii...
Even w an LSU win, we could still be SUGAR BOWL BOUND. YEAH BABY!
Whoever asked about losing bonus points for beating UGA twice--its some rule where you can only get QW points once per team... Now if UGA were ranked 1-3 and LSU beat them, they likely would not fall out of top ten, but ranked at 5 (?) they will likely fall out of top ten, thus losing QW points for LSU. yes its a dumb rule, but team must STAY in top 10 to keep points for beating them earlier in season. USC lost QW points for beating Auburn (#6 when we played them) and WA St (#6?when we played them) Because both teams lost more games and fell from top 10.
