Oh, trust me, we were expecting MUCH worse! Only 7 spots down after we lost to an unranked team? Not bad! I'm glad we're still in the Top 10. Wanna know who was really rocked by the rankings? IOWA! They went from #9 to #23! YIKES!

Kitso, your comment made me think about the NC State goal posts. They kinda had a habit of falling down (heh heh) until someone came up with the clever idea of GREASING THEM.

Not bad, huh? What's that gotta cost 'em, $30 at the most? depending on what they're greasing with? Bwahahaha. How about THAT for a workstudy?

Hate to be a traitor to my own team, but Mizzou isn't good!!! We were 4-0, but the teams we beat were practically community colleges b/c we were so bad last year that that's who we play now. Middle Tennessee St.??? Not exactly Notre Dame....

I drove my ass to KU to cheer for Mizzou and it was a joke. KU forgot to teach their players how to catch, and we forgot to give our Defense a ride to the game.

AXJules, I don't know why...but this totally cracked me up when I read this! Let me tell you, I'm right here with you; I love my Bruins but I know this won't be a championship year... with a new amazing coach (I love you Karl!) it will be a "rebuilding year"!

ktsnake...your cheering for OU is understandable because your dad went there. But see my bf's friend didn't even go to college (he is kind of a big loser, honestly) and he was berating me because I was rooting for Cal while he was literally crying for a college team that he will never go to...at least Cal is another University of California (UC) school.

And Hootie...I understand that college football is a religion in Nebraska (my cousin's wife is from there/and went to UNL in the late 80s) so you I understand your Nebraska pride!

AggieSigmaNu361... I have always wanted to ask those fanatical fans "So, when did you graduate from ____?" but have never had enough balls to say it! Ahh, I would love to put them in their place.

I just hate those fans that are all in my face, quizzing me on UCLA football championships vs. USC or on the loserness of my alma mater and these people are in NO WAY connected to USC except that know to get off on Exposition Blvd. on the 110 freeway to get to campus!
Ahh, sorry I hung out with my best friend who goes to USC today and heard even more trash talk....ahh why can't everone know the greatness that is being a UCLA Bruin!

A&M travels to the barren plains of West Texas to take on the Classless Clowns of itt Tech.

Lets hope the stores are out of tortillas, the goal posts are bolted in the ground, and that the more rabid tekkies are passed out by the 9pm kick off.

I'd like to say the good guys win and Fran breaks the curse of SBC, but i think it might be another long night for the Ags.

I don't see the problem with people being fans of a school they didn't attend. Who cares why they like the team, as long as they are a fan in the good times as well as the not so good.

I dunno Kitso, the Ags might surprise us tomorrow they seemed to be holding back against Pitt - but I think thats just me maybe. I know they could do better, I think they have the depth of players this year. Then again, I'm horrible at game predictions

I hope Auburn plays well!! WAR DAMN EAGLE! I'm more worried about facing Arkansas on the 11th in Fayetteville.......

oh yeah and about going to the school and being a fan ~

I never went to Texas A&M, but I consider myself a fan because hell I grew up there, went to A&M Consolidated High School, and pretty much knew everything there was to know about the school before I moved. I still consider College Station home in many ways.

Auburn - I'm 3rd generation Auburn (even though *eh hem* I failed out after not even one semester before I turn tailed back to Texas) My grandparents went to Auburn, My parents met at Auburn, my aunt and uncle met at Auburn, my cousins currently attend Auburn, My dad's only rule with guys was that I could never date a University of Alabama student/graduate

My blood runs orange and blue with a *hint* of maroon.

I don't have a problem with people being fans of schools they didn't attend. Like i've said before, when it comes to College BB, i'm a Duke fan, for the sole reason that i think Coach K is a great American and a great Coach. So yes, i root for Duke.

My PROBLEM is with people who didn't attend one school talking trash about football games to alumni from other schools. So, when Duke beats UNC, i'll be like, "way to go, Devils", but its not my place to start going up to tarheel alums and telling them that the 'heels suck.

One of my best friends from HS went to UT. When Texas beats A&M, i will take all the shit he gives me. BUT, if you didn't attend the university of Texas, you have no right to tell me that "Aggies Suck" or " 'WE' beat your ass".

If you did not spend time or money at UT, then you have no place dogging me if UT beats A&M.

I'm sorry, that's the way it is. For those of y'all that went to smaller schools, its definately within your right to root for the big school in your state. But i went to a world class university, toughed it out, and graduated. I'm not gonna take shit about A&M football from a texas fan that went to southwest texas, or some school not even in Texas.

Kitso
KS 361 beers i'm gonna toast to MereMere when A&M wins tomorrow night

A fan is a fan and when UT kicks A&M's ass you'll probably hear about it.

and when i do, i'll ask, oh, so when did you graduate from UT?

and if the answer is, "i didn't"

my response will be, "well then, why don't you shut the hell up and stick to rooting for whatever pissant school you did attend."
