It's too freaking much!! The news reported that the spike was due to several factors: 1. the blackout last week, 2. a broken pipeline in Arizona and 3. price gouging by the greedy gas companies trying to sqeeze some extra profits from pre-Labor day trips.
I live in DC metro and the average price is about 1.70 a gallon. Generally, DC is most expensive, MD is in the middle (shop around, Waldorf has some good prices, especially at Wawa) and VA is lowest, and gets cheaper the further from the Beltway you get.
Did I say gas prices are still too FREAKING high?
