I couldn't even concentrate on Lauryn Hill's song because I was so shocked
about her appearance. I want to know what happened. She must be going through some things to be looking like that. If I had turned into the program in the middle of her performance, I probably wouldn't have know it was her.
To answer the question posed: I think physically fit women can wear evening attire. I don't see anything wrong with it. Makes me want to lift some weights. I think this relates to something that was said in another topic- "if you are going to be in the public eye then present yourself well". Venus and Serena's profession calls for them to be in shape, so they can wear whatever-in my opinion.
Overall I thought the show was very enjoyable and represented African Americans to the fullest.
