None of these guys know what they're talking about. Spiking your hair is pretty 2001 though.
To spike it, follow directions:
Buy ice gel.
Take shower and dry hair...wait a good 7 minutes until no longer wet but still slightly damp.
Rub gel into hair going forward and then going back.
Then manipulate while blowdrying at low speed to dry it.
For added kick, spray it with hair spray right after the gel and then blow dry. That'll be tough as nails.
Now this is what I recommend you do if you want your kid to be cool. Go buy fiber (amer crew and sebastian will do) or dry wax from paul mitchell. Rub a bit into your hand, then throughout your hair. You can manipulate it any way you want throughout the day and can go for the just out of bed look instead of the Eurotrash "I just coked up on a train" spikey look.
