Well, we had been going out for about 7 or 8 months, when I told him 'I think I love you' among other things....he just smiled this gigantic smile and I wouldn't let him say anything back. I'm like, if you feel the same way, tell me when the time is right. If not, then don't say anything at all.....
Ok well we almost break up 4 months later b/c I'm like, If you don't love me now, you never will.
His response???
I've loved you since the first month we started going out but I didn't want to tell you b/c you said that where you're from, people don't say I love you until at least a year after they've been together.

So I ask, why didn't you tell me when I told you?? this whole time I thought you didn't love me...
