Here's a little tidbit about Julian McMahon, the fellow who plays Dr. Troy in case anyone is interested:

Died: 31 March 1988 at Sydney, New South Wales.
William McMahon was born in Sydney, New South Wales, on 23 February 1908. He died in Sydney on 31 March 1988. He married Sonia Hopkins in 1965, and had three children. One of them, Julian, is now a TV star.
He does a really good "American" accent; I'd have never guessed he's Australian.
Oh, and he's recently divorced from an actress named Brooke Burns and has a little girl named, I think, Madison.
