I watched it, and its entertaining in a mindless, predictable way. I have given it much more thought than I should.
Lets make some more predictions, shall we?
I see conflict between Seth & Ryan re. the Pittsburgh girl (Anna?). She teaches Seth how to be a man (e.g. not such a wuss), Summer starts to like him (in a cat who likes to play with the mouse before she devours it kind of way), Anna develops real feelings for Seth but bottles it up (because, of course, she's been hurt before...)...Entire season of Summer being a beeyatch to Seth & him just taking it, then realizing he misses Anna...meanwhile, Ryan tries to avoid Marissa, spends time with Anna...she has a bad girl past, they bond & fool around for convenience sake, Marissa thinks they are in love so she doesn't pursue Ryan.... Miscommunication abounds, the right people don't end up with the right people, etc., etc.
I have a question about the burning house ep...why, oh why did they feel the need to give Luke a heart & have him fall on the knife & admit his part in the "incident?" I would have liked it much better if he had denied it & one of his buddies rolled over on him so he would still be considered a total jackarse. Just a rambling observation. He is still a jackarse, but not as total and complete as a real Prime Time Soap Villain should be. How long until he starts to hit Marissa, I wonder? What must his father have done to make him the way he is???
So-another point of speculation...does Marissa's dad commit suicide or what? Yes, her mother is completely annoying.
SIDENOTE: I really should not be watching this show, because I am bitter that Fox promoted the hell out of this show & shows it 3 times a week to get the viewership up, and they wouldn't do a fraction of that for the highly original & entertaining Keen Eddie, (admit it-no one here watched it b/c none of you knew anything about it) which I am sad to say has been canceled, in favor of "Stupid Behavior Caught on Tape, Part 75." .
Fox is the Devil.
