I will have to diagree with you on that one. Although in the cases in which a child's life is in danger from being hit by a car, then in all honestly I can see where these harness like "things" can AND should be used. BUT im talking about the times when im walking in the mall and I see a mother with a "leach" on her child. The child is in no way in harm of being hit by a car..this is just another case of somone being completly lazy enough to be pulled by their child rather than taking their hand or holding them while shopping. In THOSE cases is such behavior completly un-called for. The parents should take on the responbility to watch their kids NOT WALK THEM!! GET A DAMN DOG IF YOU WANT TO DO THAT SHIT!! End of story: that is a horrible thing to do and I think it looks cheap on the parents behalf!
