well, that is something that you really need to consider. i know that i have a ton of loans that i am sure i will be paying back until i am 70!! it is definately not fun, but it was a choice that i made. if you do end up staying closer to home, perhaps you can still go through recruitment. we had a commuter in my chapter and it was a great way for her to feel like she actually belonged at the school. i also maintained a job (not a work-study one) throughout college so that i could afford to pay dues and have spending money. good luck with your decision!
