I believe there are around 8-9 NIC Fraternities. When I was on campus two years ago membership ranged from 10-about 60 members each. The sizes of the fraternities seem to fluctuate.
There are also several local sororities and fraternities, asian based and latino/a based.
I am not sure about NPHC fraternities or sororities. I know that there was a flier for Delta Sigma Theta on campus when I was there a couple of months ago.
In my opinion, Cal Poly is not a pro-greek campus. It seems like the greeks are really involved on campus, more so than other organizations. However, a large portion of the campus community does not see the greek organizations in a positive light.

Very accurate! I live in the Cal Poly area , like 5 minutes from campus, and i have friends who have gone there and they say cal poly is very anti greek. It is a engr type school and the four houses on campus which are doing good , it is still hard to rush when you school doesnt support greek life like they should. I can even back it up by saying a very good friend of mine is a prof there and she is very active in her alum chapter and she agrees greeks are not overly abundent at cal poly.
