Fallen Sausage

Here's the story and I'm sure EVERYONE has heard about it already. http://www.clickondetroit.com/sports...39/detail.html

It's about the girl in the sausage costume that a baseball player tapped her on the top of the costume and she fell over. If you go to the discussion part of that website, you'll see that a ton of people have their panties in a bunch.

What do you guys think of this? I think of it as no big deal. The "sausage" didn't even care and just wants an autographed bat from the player. I think it's hilarious! Now if she had gotten hurt, I think it woulda been bad, but the player himself said that it was just a joke and not to hurt her.

I was supposed to be at that game (it happened at Miller Park). The assorted sausages/mascot race is a fun tradition and I think he was just playing around with her. From what I hear he bumped the top part of the outfit (they are at least ten feet tall). I saw the clips of it and I still think it's hilarious and even the girl that it happened to is fine with it. Hell she's getting free tickets and an autographed bat?!

Fallen Sausage...I was thinking that this was a spinoff of the James' "Missing Penis" thread. LOL

I can't believe you people, the dramatic fallen sausage - its like the falling of the Berlin Wall - its a major event in history! This is the most press the Brewers have gotten all season!

Seriously though, as a huge Brewer fan and witness to many, many sausage races, I think it was hilarious. If you watch the video closely, the Italian Sausage is just starting to tumble as Simon boinks her on the melon. But, the boink is hardly a boink, it was more like a tap. The 8 foot Italian Sausage, guaranteed to be top heavy, was going to fall no matter what. The fine he received was bogus, but I guess procedure is procedure.

Eh, it's really not that big of a deal. At first I thought it bad conduct, but after thinking about it more I don't think it was that bad. In the long run it's cool for the girl cuz now she gets free tickets, media attention, and autographed bat, and 15 minutes of fame. I think the reason this story is so big is because it's easy to make a lot of jokes about it. Especially on SportsCenter

I saw the girl in the sausage costume on GMA this morning. She was laughing and having fun with it. She seems to be enjoying the attention. As long as she wasn't hurt, it's cool.

This is the most exciting thing to happen to Pirates' baseball in ages.

The Pirates have their own similar thing- except instead of a sausage race (which, btw, just sounds sick) it's a pierogie race.

Let me tell you, as much as Pittsburghers really don't care about the Pirates, they'd be pissed as all hell if someone did that to one of our pierogies!!!!!!!!!
