I am the first one in my immediate family to be a member of a GLO, but 3 of my sisters were Silhouettes at MSCW (now MUW).

SigKapQueen, I agree that membership is for a lifetime. However, I think when people say "I was a GLO at University of State," they mean they are no longer an active but an alum. A lot of times I'll say "I'm a Kappa" but have been guilty of saying "I was a Kappa at Ole Miss" when I want the person to know where.
