Late post, but yes, I hope everyone enjoyed their Fourth of July!

At the risk of sounding like a (horrors!) flag waver, I would ask you how you celebrate our country - have you ever read the Declaration of Independence or the Constitution outside of History class? Did you ever think about the sacrifices made so we can enjoy the United States? Do you recognize how very fortunate we truly are, the freedoms that define America?

Just a little food for thought.

As for me, I take the time to read the Declaration every Fourth of July, then went to a picnic at a pastor friend's. The next two days I spent in Columbus with soccer friends, and saw the US Men's National Soccer team beat Paraguay, 2-0. I'm still in awe at the patriotism I saw during that game!
