Regarding calling a member of another BGLO, "Soror", I have seen this issue asked about numerous times in this forum and I thought that I'd clear it up.

As the Executive Director of the Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc, I am a member of the NPHC Executive Board. It is routine and commonplace for us to refer to the various sorority board members as "Soror XYZ." (Men are referred to as "Frater XYZ.")

I have called everyone from Mrs. Norma White (Supreme Basielus of Alpha Kappa Alpha), "Soror White" to Mr. Richard Snow (Executive Director of Kappa Alpha Psi), "Frater Snow."

Initially, I thought this odd but when I asked the question (to the NPHC president at the time Miss Daisy Wood), I was told that it is proper protocol to use those terms when referring to members of other organizations.

I hope this clears up any confusion
