Can someone shed some light on something for me? I never really did understand bid matching!
My sophomore year, a girl came through rush who was a legacy of our chapter. Her older sister, who had graduated 4 years before, was legendary because of the National awards she had won and was just an all around awesome girl. Her sister, the legacy, was beautiful, sweet and smart and everyone loved her. She made it clear that she was interested in being a DZ.
This girl came to pref, which would have put her first on our bid list, but she wasn't given a bid on bid day. She showed up the next night, though, with a few other girls we COB'd.
I never really gave that any thought until many years later when I started reading rush threads on GreekChat. Can anyone tell me from a technical standpoint what most likely happened?
