I've played Century Club . . . although not at a fraternity house, just with some of my friends . . . and I did half shots because I'm a lightweight. I'd describe it the same way you did -- it definitely doesn't happen everyday, your friends are there to cut you off and most of us are smart enough to know our limits (only one of my 9 or 10 friends who played with us legitimately finished all 100 shots in 100 minutes, and he's an ex-football player so he's quite a bit bigger than most of us).
