I have been looking online at some of the badges and things, and I was wondering....how exactly do sweetheart and mothers pins work? Do you have to be engaged to give a sweetheart pin? Would you wear your sorority pin and sweetheart pin at the same time? Do sororoties have some kind of parallel thing to give their boyfriends? Do the mothers pins go to any mother? Or just ones of legaices? I'm just curious about all this, I would love to get a sweetheart's pin, and my mom would adore a mother's pin Thanks! - Amanda
Amanda, every fraternity and sorority is different, so it's hard to generalize. All mothers of Alpha Delta Pis are respected and may wear the Mother's Pin. NO other pin is ever worn above an ADPi pin, although I've seen some pinned ADPis wear both their pin & their boyfriend's fraternity pin at about the same level, with the guard chains entwined. Sweetheart pins were only given to the fraternity sweetheart at my school, so I'm not up on the traditions concerning them.

I'm sure others will chime in with their 2¢ too!
