My sister's name is Joan which she thinks is very old fashioned. Since she was about a minute old, she has been Joanie. When she started working at her previous job, I called one day and asked for Joanie.
Whoever answered said, "There was no one by that name here."
I said, "I mean Joan."
She said, "Oh hold on. Joannnnniiieeee, you have a call!" Everyone in the office started laughing. My sister was not very happy. I didn't realize that she was Joan at work.
