Exquizit,

I have a long history of diabetes in my family so I know how you feel. As some have stated, diet and exercise are most important. Yes your diet will be restricted to certain things, but it doesn't have to be all bad. When my mother was diagnosed, the whole family changed our eating habits and ate what she ate. As a result she didn't feel like she was alone in her battle and our healths improved significantly. Also, do be mindful of your doctor. A few months ago my father's physician diagnosed him with diabetes and even put him on medication. After seeking a second opinion, it turned out that my father didn't have diabetes at all and that it was the medicine that was making him feel so strange.
