Thanks Sorors for your uplifting voices to those who may have been denied that opportunity...
You know, it is difficult to deny membership to those on the west coast with the exception of LA and the Bay area. The number of African American women--or atleast those women that want to be a part of what we do in the Sorority is very small compared to HBCU's and large east coast schools.
I attended a HBCU and at my rush there were at least 300 attendees! Now I last heard there are more. Out here because the process is the way it is--and let's not elaborate about it--we're lucky if we get 10 to show up!!! And you know how much that can make me angry!
It's only one of 2 things. The chapter didn't get the word out like they should have or the schools are soooo large and pool of interests are low because of Prop 209 that girls ain't seeing what they would want to see or ask you'd think and really they are not "trippin'" the Sorority!
