Gammagirl and librasoul...please don't discount your families desire to watch you march. Yes, you'll get the diploma either way but it really means a lot to them. I didn't realize this until my graduation - I was the first grandchild to actually graduate college-and while I was a tad embarassed at the way they hooted and hollered when they called my name-it was only afterwards when I met everybody in bklyn that they told about me (well it seems they told the whole borough) how proud they really were (oh you're the one who just graduated)
You've earned the right - just stroll on up there and pose for the camera!
