This is my question: If Elyse is soooooo smart... then why do they only say she had applied to medical school? I have never heard them say she was accepted to medical school. Does anyone know if she was accepted?

And I know Robin is on a high horse about her religion and all, but she must be smart as well... she has a friggin' master's degree for goodness sake... but we don't hear about that all the time.

I thought last night's episode was good.

Robin is my soror and all, but she's taking this Holy Rolly Christianity to another level. She knew what the business was like prior, so why throw all of this in people's faces. Further, most of the men that she works with are what? GAY so she needs to except that, pray for them, and just make sure she stays on point. I don't care how strong of a Christian you are, it's very easy to get caught up in SIN! Additionally, her interview sucked...she made it seem as though she was darn near perfect and I know that's not nearly accurate. She's going to end up getting voted off simply because of her self righteous attitude.

Kudos to TYRA and KIMORA for standing up for "plus sized" women! Granted, Robin is far from plus size in my eyes, but that's how America has things labeled.

I think Elyse is going to win this competition guys. Yeah, the girl has some issues, she possibly has an eating disorder, etc., but every picture she's taken has been PERFECT! The picture with the snake is so tight. The photographers, interviewers, etc. all say that she's a natural at everything. I think she's going to take it.

Janice is killin' me! Her comments prove that despite what era we live in, there are still a large amount of racist and biased people who don't want African Americans to come up in life.

Well personally I am happy the Tyra put Robin in her place finally her attitude sucks. I mean what was up with that everybody having dinner and she is in the room reading. I mean come on now. You know she might have a chance to win this competition but I doubt because #1 she feels she is better than everybody and that is not the case #2 she feels the need to scream out she is a Christian. If you are true to you then fine do that. I mean you don't hear Kesse saying I'm a Christian all the time. Besides Robin and Shannon will have a problem in the fashion industry anyway considering that over half of it is gay men and drinking.
And Adrienne oh my lawd she sounds like a 3 year old who's vocal box didn't fully develop. I think that drug addiction did something to scarred her for life. Janice judge needs to get real she makes me sick also always having something negative to say instead of them having her lips filled up with collagen she should have have a face lift. But I figured Giselle would get voted off because she fishes for compliments to much. I really don't think she has a self esteem problem. I mean come on now a dancer with a self esteem problem.

I don't know. My best friend who is also her linesister told me about her leaving for New York, but I didn't know it was for this show, so I thought it was taped this past winter. I could be wrong.

I'm about 2 degrees of separation from Miss Robin and I knew that she was going to New York to audition for a talk show that Ananda from BET/MTV ended up getting. She was also dating Kenny Holms formerly of the Tennessee Titans now playing with NY Giants. So I think she has been in NYC for some time and took this opportunity while she was out there.

You'd be surprised...imagine having to work under former prima ballerinas with attitudes like former model Janice..who go on and on about their glory days and are in your face constantly about your perceived weight gains. I just thought about it. I don't think that Elyse will win this competition. Why, you ask? Even though some of you may think that I'm crazy, but I think that she is the IDEAL candidate. She is rail thin, she has that "look" and she is runway material. The only problem is that she is the IDEAL candidate.

By her being the one, it makes it obvious that she is going to make it. From what the photographer said last night, I think that she is going to get jobs whether she wins this contest or not. She is probably already in a few Rolodexes. I think that the show is going to pick someone that is unlikely that they can turn into a model.

Adrienne is the kind of person that they are watching. She hasn't been in the bottom two yet. Everyone has been, even Elyse. Adrienne has that poor girl routine together, so she may make it. Wouldn't that be a great rags-to-riches story? Robin has good spokesmodel qualities, perfect for Revlon (and hopefully a Baby Phat contract ) Sharon is just so... bubbly. I don't know. She may be a shocker. Kesse is good all around. She is dedicated and she has a good look.

These last few weeks will be interesting. I won't miss an episode!

Whoa, child. As a journalist, I do understand the place of opinion pieces. I also understand the point of television reviews. Your little article fell into neither of those categories. Your article was nothing more than a message board rant with a byline. But before I (a working Journalist) pick your article apart, let me first admit my biases. See, I am a TSU graduate. I am a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. I am Robin’s line sister. I am a Christian (with both a Roman Catholic and a Baptist parent). And as I stated before, I am a working Journalist (not journalism student).

Let’s just start with paragraph 1. You were considering “becoming” a Delta. Maybe you meant to say that you were considering “applying
>for membership into Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.” And if you let your perception (wrong as it may be) of one member deter you, you were never right for this organization or any other. (Remember this Sorority is more than 200-thousand strong.) But let’s move on..

Generalizations are something that the journalism community tries to avoid. Your “I hate to thinks” are almost laughable. I hate to think that the picture on your website rattlerbrat.conforums.com) is you. I hate to think that all FAMU students are hateful, whining brats. I hate to think this article represents the freelance arena. But I do take my time and think. You appear to look down your nose at “backwoods hicks” with “accents thick enough to cut with machetes.”

Last time I checked Florida wasn’t the hotbed of standard speaking ability. One look at the local rap scene tells us that. Or is it “you don’t know nann?” And to feebly attempt to discredit TSU’s academic history, does not only insult Miss Manning, but insults every Tiger graduate.

Then you take issue with Robin’s faith. Evangelism is a ministry in most practiced faiths. Persons testify to the goodness of God or
preach of His redemption in most church services. And as I’ve said before I know quite a bit about the Roman Catholic faith. Isn’t judgment commonplace in Catholicism? Remember confession and penance? If giving someone a Bible passage is attacking, then so be it. Most adult Baptist folks were “saved” because of a Bible verse.

And for Robin’s fight (You do use this word a bit loosely. A bit thin-skinned, huh?) with Ebony. Yes, she walked away singing. So, what? How many times have you walked away from a disagreement? Would it have been better if she walked away spewing curse words? Instead of escalating an argument (take note of this more fitting word), she walked away. And on the subject of Ebony’s girlfriend, most organized religions do say that homosexuality is wrong. I believe that does include Catholicism.

And for the “ba-doon-ka-donk” dance contest, Robin said that she was a Christian, not Christ. Most folks walking the earth are “works in progress.” I guess Catholics don’t go to “’da Club.”

Let me close by saying that for a person It’s “not the reality TV type” you certainly have been playing close attention to everything Robin is saying. Let me play Dr. Phil for a moment. Maybe if you entered the contest, you wouldn’t be so jealous and hateful now.

Either way, you didn’t, Robin did. She’s there living your dream, so don’t be resentful. And if you are don’t pass off your little “chat room” hate, as a true article. You insult the journalism profession, and we already had enough of that with Jayson Blair.
