I'm trying to figure out of this author was my mother! Or does he/she know my mom!
Because EVERYTHING here was said by my mother at some point in my childhood. Whew, this brought back some memories.
I would add that: My mom taught me SOCIAL CONSCIOUSNESS:
She always told me "There are children all over the world who would love to have the food you have before you."
(I was a clever thinking kid---so I told her "Why don't we put this in an envelope and send this to them? Because I don't want to eat any more." Well, I am sure that you know what happened next....so we'll leave that alone.)
