I've heard (I think it was in a Time magazine article around 1995, when the "Gen X" thing first came out) that you are GenX if you were born between the years of 1971-1977 (you would have been 18-24 in 1995). Gen Y is the group born between 78 and 83/84. There's some other name for the kids born 85 and after but I can't remember them. Judging by the kids my lil sis (born in 85) goes to school with, " gen motherf***ing selfish horny bastards" seems to fit.
