hope this helps
i feel your pain. our chapter often has a problem trying to enjoy sisterhood when we are bogged down by study hours and other paperwork like activity points. not to mention all the work of EC like RM forms that we are constantly trying to get done on time.
on top of everything, most of the girls in my chapter work a lot of hours (and of course we have to maintain 12 credits and keep a 2.2) this is a lot easier for some people than others. while i've never had to do one proctored study hour, some of my sisters have a hard time getting all this done, and it hurts me to see them trying and getting frustrated, only to get in trouble when they can't make all the requirements and even getting in trouble. i think it's pretty much impossible sometimes. and of course, there are always underlying issues.
i'm sure we're not the only one's in this situation. maybe you could pull together some type of end of the year shindig, like a barbeque after finals. or you could have some type relaxing thing during finals where you can all do pedicures or makeovers or something like that. especially if members have already paid for formal, maybe you use that budget to put on an end of semester event.
i just went alum, and i would say it would be great if you and other alumnea could take care of arranging something for the collegians so they don't have to worry about planning something. maybe to show them that you recognize their problem and are trying to help.
let me know if this helps or if you are looking for other types of ideas.
