New Member and/or Pledge Pins

I haven't been able to find a color photo of Alpha Gam's new member pin, but it is simply a shield of buff and green (parti per pale, or and vert) with a red band across (a fess gules).

It does not suggest the Badge at all. As most people who have been around GC for a while already know, one of our Founders was an authority on heraldry. She designed the pledge pin, and it is highly symbolic.

I'd love to shout off the rooftops what it means, but then I'd have to kill you.
