First mad love to ya gurl--as far as the skee-phi bond goes, as with the previous reply's i think it differs from campus to campus--as far as my campus and how i was brought in goes, we were taught that we (AKA) are ONE and we stand alone, we did not have Alphas on my campus at all during my 4 years of college matriculation so my bond with the alphas was once slim to none--we were more or less closer with the kappas--however recently i have started meeting and hanging out with some alphas and i have become a lot closer with the fraternity--i do respect them and see how we could be linked (since we were both the FIRST). Also there have been instances where I think that some of our "frat brothers" have taken this phirst phamily thing to an extreme, for example in a situation where a frat saw a soror in the mall and EXPECTED her to speak to him just because of his greek affiliation, needless to say she didnt "bow to the occasion" and he became irate and the soror automatically became "stuck up".
So I think the skee-phi relationship is more so left up to the individual-there are some sorors/alphas who respect the bond as if we were actually from the same womb and then there are others who just feel like we are what we are Alphas and AKA's
