thanks everyone. that makes sense now. i think theta phi alpha does do something like that, but as someone said, it is untraditional. i remember when my chapter was celebrating it's 10th anniversary at clarion, i spoke with a national officer about initiating the founding sisters (local sorority) of my chapter. i think it's more along the lines of what valpogal's sorority went through.
