Your grandmother probably did it, because she felt that the KAT badge was a thing of beauty and wanted her SK daughter to have it, not realizing it or perhaps forgetting that
non-members aren't supposed to wear the badge. If she pledged many years ago, she might have forgotten this.
As for the aunt.....yeah, she should know better than to wear it.
