I was initiated this past Friday. I am not sure that the chapter on my campus is very active, so I am hoping to help change that soon. Right now, it is definitely seen as an honor to join, but it is still not looked upon as anything more than a nice thing to add to your resume.
I agree with KSigkid that at my university the majority of the members of Order of Omega are already officers/leaders of their respective organizations and would devote more time to that org than to an honorary org.
I am not even sure how many undergrad members there are in my university's chapter.
