I went to informal rush events. I went to about three or four for another sorority. The other sorority, for the most part gave me the cold shoulder and were hard to talk to. Then I saw a poster for an informal "get to know us" night for the Alpha Gams. I was nervous to go, since my other experience wasn't so wonderful. From the first second I walked in the door I felt at home. Every single one of the girls talked to me, asked me questions. We laughed and talked way beyond the time the meeting was scheduled for. I had four other nights were we hung out and had fun. And on the final night I recieved my bid. I was so touched I fought back tears. I knew this is where I belonged and I felt completely at ease. Now I have a wonderful family. I am very proud to call each and everyone of the girls my sisters. They have been the most caring and concerned friends I have ever known. Alpha Gam is a great blessing in my life. Now I couldn't imagine life without my sisters!
