If it wasn't for these governing bodies, we wouldn't have the greek system we do today. Many college chapters would not be established, maybe even your own. I don't think that anyone here is "ratting" ut anyone else. There has been topics about dirty rushing. Dirty rushing is a very serious thing and rules are important. If we didn't have rules, nothing would get done. We would be social clubs, nothing more. How do you feel about someone going up to one of your prospective pledges(who up to this point, really want to join your sorority) and tells them a whole bunch of nasty lies? I don't think that you would be too happy. That is dirty rushing. Doing whatever you can to steal prospective pledges. Buying prospective pledges drinks is even a great big no-no. You are trying to persuade them in the wrong ways. Girls should not decide to pledge a sorority because the sisters bought them drinks. They should join because they like what the sorority stands for.
All of our governing bodies are not out to make things hard, they are here to help and to preserve greek life. I believe that greek orgs. would have died out if it wasn't for them.
