My alum group plans one event per month that is either social or philanthropy oriented and then distributes information for other philanthropy or social events that they are aware of for our members to participate in.
Some of my favorite social events:
*High tea at a local hotel
*Wine tasting
*Day at the beach
Our philanthropy events vary but we have participated in local walks/runs; done events with local hospitals and worked with local collegiate chapters on co-sponsored philanthropy events.
