There's a HUUUUGE difference between an Art Education major and an Art Studio major...at least, there is here. A lot of the art students I know are...shall we say...anti-establishment, and they aren't keen on Greek-letter organizations because they encourage conformity. (These aren't my words...this is just what I've heard being said.
)
Anyway, to whoever wanted to use those letters--I say go ahead and do it! A professional organization and a social organization are different, so I don't think you'd be invading anyone else's territory.
