OMG I'm so much like axotiger! I can not leave the house without makeup. I"m a blonde and if I don't have black masacara on I look dead! Absolutley dead!!!!!
And you never know when you will see that ex-bf that dumped you. And sadly I want people to talk good about me. I want people to say "you know Jen looks nice today?" or "man, I wish I was dating Jen". I know thats horrible of me but its the truth so I might as well not deny it.
As for class not being a fashion show. Well, here at UK it can be. If you are in a sorority the best thing to do is wear black stretchy pants, your sorority shirt, school mascot visor and sorority tote bag. This way you look like crap......but hey you're in this sorority so you're still awesome! But for non-sorority girls makeup is a must unless you don't want to be noticed. And when you've got class with UK basketball players you WANT to be noticed!!!
I had a 8:30am class with a girl who woke up at 5am to take an aerobics class, then came to class in dress clothes. So the rest of us girls were like "crap now we have to look good too" So for the rest of the semester all of us would try to look half decent.
Its all about confidence. I enjoy putting on makeup, I enjoy getting compliments about how I look. If I dont' have that "I feel pretty" attitude than with or without makeup I still look bad b/c I try to hide and I dont' smile. However, I could give a rats ass about my hair. Put it in a bun or ponytail and I"m good to go.
