Morris Brown College

I truly hope the news about Morris Brown College isn't accurate. As an Atlanta University Center (AUC) graduate (Clark College 1977), this would truly be devestating to MBC alums and the AUC as well. In 1988 Clark merged with the Atlanta University to become Clark Atlanta University, a move that proved adventageous to both schools. While neither was in dire straits, the merger enabled two HBCU's to combine AU's graduate curriculum with Clark's undergraduate programs thus forming the largest single institution in the AUC.

Perhaps the same thing could be done with MBC thus allowing it to keeps its accredidation, combine its resources with another institution or institutions and keeping its alumni viable. I'm praying for MBC and believe a solution will come about before any desperate measures are taken.

H.B.
